A: What happened to the Titanic?
B: It's still at the bottom of the ocean. But in 1985 an American scientist called Robert Ballard found it.
A: Was he swimming when he found it?
B:No, he wasn't. He was on a ship called Argo with some other scientists. They had some new underwater cameras. The cameras sent pictures to a small 'TV' on the ship. One day they were watching the 'TV' when the pictures changed. There were pieces of the ship on the sea bed!
A: And were they from the Titanic?
B: Yes, they were. The ship was more than three kilometers under the Atlantic Ocean, about 700 kilometers south-east of the Canadian coast.
